  1. Are there any other vendors to buy from? Ones who ship to lands outside the U.S.? Thank you.

  3. Thanks, John. It didn't turn up in an initial search by title but it did when I searched by author name. Cheers.

  4. John! I'm a big Schow fan, and discovered BB through his social media. Absolutely love it, count on me as a Constant Reader.

I was interested in pitching you and your editorial comrades a piece, and wanted to see what your process was, if at all. Thanks!

  5. Thanks for the support! We're hard at work on issue #2, and look forward to bringing you a regular dose of David J. Schow.

If you're interested in contributing to bare•bones, shoot Peter and I an email at the addresses above (I added a new image to the post) letting us know what you have in mind. If you have links to any of your writing we can sample online, that's great, too!

  6. Thank you for bringing back bare•bones and for bringing back Raving & Drooling by DJS. I got my copy of the new issue and can't wait to dig in. Question: Before bare•bones, did DJS contribute to The Scream Factory? Also, are there articles by DJS in the earlier issues of BB apart from the following?

"In Search of the Chile Suppository", 1999
    bare•bones Vol. 1 #3/4, Spring 1999 (Magazine)

"Trevanian and The Crow Chronicle", 2001
bare•bones Vol. 3 #1, 2001 (Magazine) published elsewhere as "A.K.A. Trevanian" and "Why You'll Never See Crow Chronicle (Even Though You'd Like To)"

"Bloodstock: Four Days of Stress, Chaos, and Wonderment", 2010
    bare•bones e-zine, March 2011 (Webzine)

    Thanks again!

  7. Thanks JRF!

Sadly, we didn't manage to squeeze DJS into TSF before we folded.

Here's the breakdown of DJS in print in the original incarnation of BB:

    Volume 1 Number 3/4
"In Search of the Chile Suppository" by David J. Schow

    Volume 2 Number 1
"Mostest Bestest" by David J. Schow

    Volume 3 Number 1
"Way Good, Extra-Bad and Downright Ugly" by David J. Schow (This included Trevanian, the Crow Chonicle, and his thoughts on the 'book' on the making of The Crow.

FYI- "Mostest Bestest" was reprinted (along with "AKA Trevanian") in our best of bare•bones collection.

We reprinted "Bloodstock" on the blog when it was up for a Rondo Award -- that originally appeared in Monsters From The Vault.

If all goes as planned (something that 2020 is unlikely to be remembered for), you should be able to put your hands on BB#2, and a new R&D, before the month of May is out!

    John
